ITALIAN NATIONAL GUIDELINES ON ODOR 28 June 2023

On 28 June 2023, guidelines were published by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety, shared throughout the national territory, for the monitoring and evaluation of industrial odorous emissions.
This regulation provides definitive indications of the limits defined no longer as an absolute value imposed a priori on the individual emission but as the sum of the dorigen flows of the entire plant evaluated in return to the receptor through a dispersion model.
This is the first step towards a more uniform application of the good practices to be followed for the monitoring and impact assessment of plants and activities with a potential odor impact.
